Liset Geijselaers
Chief Operating Officer
AELS – Aircraft End-of-Life Solutions – The Netherlands
My name is Liset Geijselaers and I am the Chief Operating Officer at AELS. I hold a Master’s degree in Aerospace Engineering from Delft University of Technology, specializing in Air Transport and Logistics. I began my career in the high-tech industry, where I worked on the refurbishment of legacy machinery—an experience that laid the groundwork for my focus on sustainability and reuse.
Since joining AELS in September last year, I’ve been closely involved with aircraft disassembly operations and actively applying the AFRA Best Management Practices in our daily processes. My role centers on increasing the reusability of aircraft components and the recycling rate of aircraft, while minimizing waste generation.
By joining the AFRA Board of Directors, I aim to contribute to the association’s global growth and continued relevance in our evolving industry. My hands-on experience with the BMP gives me practical insights into how the standards work in the field and where they could evolve to meet future challenges. I believe this perspective can help ensure AFRA’s standards remain both ambitious and actionable.
I am passionate about building a more sustainable aviation industry and see AFRA as a key player in leading that change.
